We loved our stay at Ashley’s place! The house feels homey and the location was perfect for hiking and wineries. It was also just a half hour to downtown Charlottesville. We had a wonderful time.

Ashley’s home was so beautiful - the perfect romantic getaway! We really enjoyed being right off Route 151, close to all the breweries and wineries. What really impressed us was how responsive Ashley was when we ran into an issue - she was very quick to remedy the situation and ensure our stay was as comfortable as possible. Would definitely stay here again!

Ashley was an excellent host. The house was roomy, clean, and furnished with very comfortable beds. The hot tub was clean and a wonderful way to relax after a fun day. I highly recommend checking out Trager Brothers coffee shop down the street.

This was a quick overnight stop on our longer road trip so we were only there for less than 10 hours. Unfortunately got there after dark and left in the dark so we weren’t able to appreciate the beauty of the surrounding area. Some of us walked in and the smell reminded them of their own farmhouse growing up. The house was clean. There is one shared full bathroom and the other full bathroom is in the master bedroom so it was a bit difficult timing bathroom use with 10 people. The tub drained extremely slow in that shared bathroom. The only other thing I would add is I would’ve appreciated having a small trash can in the rooms upstairs so we don’t have to go down the stairs to throw something small away. Beds were comfortable and it was worth the few miles of extra driving to not stay in a hotel.

My husband and I had a great week at Ashely's place. It truly was a mountain get away. We loved sitting on the porch watching the sunset (my husband playing acoustic guitar). Our favorite thing was the hot tub every night (after a busy day of exploring). The place was exactly what was described. Clean, comfortable and everything you need.
We did a lot of the suggested things to do...
We explored the Blue Ridge Tunnel, the blue ridge parkway hikes, Blue Mountain Brewery, 3 Notched and Hill Top Berry Farm and Winery. Ps Drink wine, then feed the goats:) We drove to Waynesboro (15-20 mins) for coffee dates. We drove to Charlottesville (30 mins) a couple times for food and exploring.
We will definitely be back to visit sometime in the fall. This cottage was just perfect!!!

Ashley was incredibly responsive and helpful in arranging a last minute booking for us. She communicated throughout the stay to ensure everything was going well, which was greatly appreciated. The home is lovely - beautifully decorated, comfortable, appealing, well located, and a wonderful place to stay while exploring all the area has to offer. Restaurants, wineries, breweries, hiking, and more are just minutes away. An especially nice touch - the kitchen drawers and cabinets are labeled making it so easy to navigate the kitchen! Thank you, Ashley for hosting us for our stay and all you did last minute to make it possible!

Ashley’s Cottage in the Country was soo cute! Way more than anything I expected. The home was beautiful and was equipped with everything we needed. Her website guide was sooo helpful, we visited Paul’s Creek Slide, and was a nice hike with a beautiful scenic fall when we finally reached the top! Highly recommend if you’re ever passing through town.<3

This place was literally awesome. The kitchen was well stocked and the vicinity to nearby things was amazing. The hot tub was well maintained and the place was really clean. It felt like home. There is so much open space around the property which gives a level of privacy. Loved loved loved the place !

Wonderful host! Very flexible about check in and check out and very accommodating. We had a lovely stay and would definitely come back here. The location is perfect and beds are very comfortable!

We had an amazing time on our girls weekend! SO MANY WINERIES! The house was beautiful and clean and the hot tub was great and easy to operate! Ashely sent us a link to all kinds of things to do in the area and her favorite places to to go and we pretty much planned our trip around that! Amazing time hope to come again too!
